(Force it)
Do you think you can you force your brain into neutral?
Can you invoke colours to control your brain? To any extent?
Subconscious. Conscious perhaps. Mood by association. “Here I am, in my blue room, and that always makes me happier.” Something like that. Whatever colour your pick. Whatever mood you’re trying to evoke, induce.

I’ll put my pen down now and fall asleep thinking about taking control.
Nudge Your Mood Up
Colours on a dull day. Notice them. Let them nudge your mood. ‘Dull’ comes with far too much implied negativity. As a benchmark it’s fine – ‘the light’s dull compared to yesterday’. As a valuation it’s learnt.
With everything you learn, ask who or what’s taught it. It might be neutral. It might be benign. It might benefit you. But it might have any number of negatives in its train.
But don’t let the thoughts of the potential negatives dominate.
Arguably … You only have your own reactions to what’s around you to argue with. That, and the source of the reactions.
